Update - Sale of 9 Montague Circle
Assistant Corporation Counsel Rich Gentile updated the Committee regarding the ongoing negotiations with abutting landowners. A general discussion of the issue followed. Attorney Gentile will report back to the Committee with the progress of further negotiations.
No further action taken at this time.
Acquisition of 3 Saunders Street
Assistant Corporation Counsel Rich Gentile updated the Committee regarding the ongoing
negotiations with the owner of 3 Saunders Street. A general discussion followed.
MOTION By Bill Horan
seconded by Linda Russo
to recommend that the Town Council, on behalf of the Town of East Hartford,
acquire the property known as 3 Saunders Street, East Hartford, Connecticut,
for the sum of $150,000, subject to the following:
- receipt of C.G.S. § 8-24 approval from the Town’s Planning and Zoning Commission;
- satisfactory completion of the requirements set forth in Town Ordinances §10-18
(other than a survey, which requirement is waived based upon available and clear
property descriptions on file in the Town of East Hartford’s Town Clerk’s Office) and;
3 verification that all tenants at the property have moved and that all present leases for
the property have expired or terminated.
